Dedicating my most secret hours to an inner journey, back in time, has turned out to be a puzzle solving process in which the pieces become available little by little, urging them to present themselves through an observational evocation. A self-image emerged, a recomposition of intimate, dusty fragments of life: molecules of an identity hidden under the dross of repression and the superficiality of everyday life. Private memories, signs and symbolic figures have re-emerged, archetypes that bring us back to our authenticity, to an essence that is as minimal as it is true and sometimes suffered. Reliving a memory, narrating a detachment, digging a distant emotion by filtering the process in the photographic act inevitably leads us to reconstruct what we are today with the intuition of the “why”, to reveal ourselves with a greater and clearer awareness. The images appear and mature as psychic segments, as self-descriptive traits in which, through a process of identification and analysis, lines and colors fade imperceptibly in the connotation, take on unsuspected values, pushing the external appearance to come to terms with the ability to rise to a greater value: that of the sublimation of form in free thought, in rooted fantasy, in self-determination, passing without stopping through the aura of the symbol.
