These images are taken from an other life - a body of work created in 2020; the year I became a new parent and found myself locked-down for six-months in someone else’s home. Created in response to this intensity and the terrifying proximity of others, my viewfinder became a cropping tool to construct solitude; studying the rhythms of the house and finding solace in stillness. The full work is a 72-page hand-bound book, combining text and photographs made for my baby daughter, and reflecting on the distance felt during early fatherhood.
