The first person who inspired me to do this job is my daughter. I've been photographing her in the studio for a few years, and when I told her I wanted to photograph her in a setting, as she's quite a shy and reserved person, she didn't want to. She was very embarrassed to be photographed in public, and could not have relaxed. So I thought about a solution, and came to the conclusion that Photoshop was the answer. So I went alone to photograph neutral and naked places (yoga studio, sewing workshop, small factory, corridors of public places ...).
Last year, in addition to the lockdown due to the Covid, I had health problems that immobilized me for several months. I took this time to think about what I would do with these photos of places. I spent a lot of time watching tutorials, reading books. And in the end, I started to rework my portraits by adding the funds that I had in reserve. At that point, I felt like I had something that I wanted to develop. I then proposed to my daughter's friends and to young girls whom I met in the street to participate in my project. I have since become passionate about the magic that Photoshop offers, and use this tool as a others use a canvas and a brush.
My daughter and my other models are at a very important point in their life and not always easy to get along with. This moment is full of questioning and brings great upheavals as much physical, psychological as emotional. Often, during this period, young women seek each other out and may lack confidence.
I remember that I did, and I could only see the tiny pimple in the mirror that no one else could see.
Looking back, I realize that I was pretty yet. So I want to give these pretty girls what I did not see at home, that is to say a more accurate image of their reflection.
