While We Light

Series of photos taken from my window during the period of greatest isolation in our city due to the COVID-19 Quarantine. These moments of extreme beauty, close to so many restrictions, served to alleviate fear and contemplate nature, even from a distance. We learn to value these fortuitous gifts even more. That day, in addition to contemplating, I photographed this Series, waiting for night to fall. All the external tension imposed by the isolation showed me that our presence here, at night, is marked by light emissions, at least for the time being. In these uncertain times, we aspire to be stars, emanating energy to those who suffer from afar. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Série de fotos tiradas da minha janela durante o período de maior isolamento de nossa cidade devido à Quarentena do COVID-19. Esses momentos de extrema beleza, próximos a tantas restrições, serviram para amenizar o medo e contemplar a natureza, mesmo à distância. Aprendemos a valorizar ainda mais esses dons fortuitos. Naquele dia, além de contemplar, fotografei esta Série, esperando a noite cair. Toda a tensão externa imposta pelo isolamento me mostrou que a nossa presença aqui, à noite, é marcada por emissões de luz, pelo menos por enquanto. Nestes tempos incertos, aspiramos ser estrelas, emanando energia para quem sofre de longe.
