This series is my way of trying to show the Brazil that I see: Beautiful and Hostile. Like a charming dog that bites you on the way out, on the back.
A country full of beautiful contradictions.
"Where the Streets Have No Name" is about this shitty hope for a less miserable place, which in the end everyone is looking for. Some by the force of manual labor or the hot barrel of an automatic pistol, others when they close their eyes to pray.
This is my vision about this insane walk between chaos and hope for a better place, for a Promised Land.
In the sad and deserted streets, people thrown and piled up like worms hiding under a piece of meat that rots on the ground. People who live off the possibilities that are offered and struggle waiting for some transformation.
An uncertain transformation. Maybe it's just a dream.
But it is this hope for the future that makes the movement possible.
For some, a huge circle of rats, for others, a journey.
By shooting this city I join this chorus of disappointments,
Shooting that I also long for something better.
Walking that I too hope for that place,
Where Streets Have No Name.
