Wind Letters is series of Inna Rogatchi's homages to some of her favourite writers, movie directors, composers and musicians. This series of homages is part of Inna's multi-disciplinary Dialogues project. The project exams in artistically visual way much needed dialogue of a modern-day person with some giants of our world's culture. To exam it successfully, to realise which ways to go in one's own artistic endeavour, one needs to analyse, to get inside the world of the masters of letters, image and sound one admires. In the series present, Inna Rogatchi pays her artistic homage to such great writers as Saul Bellow, Jorge Luis Borges, Elie Wiesel, ever important movie directors like Federico Fellini, Luchino Visconti, Andrzej Wajda, and such eternal composers and musicians as Astor Piazzolla, Leonard Cohen, Ron Carter and Chet Baker. All those people, besides being a brilliant professionals in their field, were true humanists, compassionate, understanding , great personalities whose light is still shines onto us in many various ways, sometimes, daily. Inna Rogatchi finds black & white photography, the one of her very favourite genres, as the most suitable artistic mean to express the drama that we experience, in various ways, while reading, watching or listening the works of those great masters, and especially in reflecting their light, individual and special for every one of those masters who are inspiring us in both sunny and rainy weather, around a year.
