Spirit of Asia

As the world has modernized over the years, it is increasingly important to document the indigenous cultures of the world who's traditional lifestyles and forms of worship are under threat. By creating a human connection with my subjects, I seek to capture genuine emotions that reflect the essence of who they are and where they come from. These images were taken over a period of time in remote parts of the Himalayas as well as the tropical lowlands of South East Asia. The deep roots of these Asian cultures are well worth preserving and I hope my images help in that process by illustrate the dignity, strength and joy of their people.
