Runway: Behind The Scenes

The purpose of this project is to look at the representation of BIPOC, LGBTQ, disabled, true (plus) size/normal bodies, and “older” people at Fashion Week in each of 4 cities (New York, London, Milan, and Paris).  It is to ask what has changed in recent years for us since Bethann Hardison first walked the runway in The Battle of Versailles in 1973, and what work still needs to be done to reframe the conversation on content distributed. My goal is to open a dialogue. I want to inspire others in the field, or those wanting to enter the field, by asking questions about proper representation.
