In 2021 I created a personal exhibition called "A due passi". The title means literally "a stone's throw" indicating the nearness of the places I shot. But in the Italian meaning it also indicates the sense of walking towards those places. For almost every of these photographs I slept in a tent outside, often alone, doing hours of backpack trekking.
I created this project for multiple reasons.
The first one is that I consider the area where I live one of the most underrated mountain areas of the Alps, full of incredible mountains and views.
The second one is that we faced the impossibility to travel and proximity trips were something that everybody had to deal with.
I tried then to discover new places, creating new ideas about shooting those mountains.
This resulted in a 20 large print exhibition that had been displayed from mid July till mid November 2021, but it's still proceeding and growing. I'd like to make other exhibitions of it in the near future.
