Shadows
Project info

little snail
look! look!
at your shadow*

* Kobayashi Issa, 1814

Focusing on contemporaneity, paying attention to here and now, one can find a fascinating new world in every-day objects.
Shadows: they offer a new - twisted and distorted - perspective onto even most mundane and ordinary objects.
Shadows of things and people obtain fantastical, fairy tale-like quality.
Shadows of common items become menacing; everything is transformed out of proportion in a mysterious and new way.

The series explores my long-lasting fascination with photographing shadows.
