Self portraiture came into my life during a difficult time of loss and grief. My audience witnessed the unraveling and transformation of myself whether they realized it or not. Some creatives knew, while others felt I was too dark, deep, and morbid even.
It wasn’t until several months into self portraiture that I had realized I was healing myself through my art. I can lay these self portraits out and read them like a book - a love story of life, sadness, pain, darkness, growth, healing, and light. Sometimes you need to become completely broken to become who you are now. This is my unraveling.
