THE FUTURE AND PROSPERITY

I traveled all over the UK for bodybuilding competitions and made this portrait series in analog and vintage aesthetics. I shoot the models with VHS or film cameras. As you can see, All the bodybuilders had so faithful facial expressions. And their iconic and symbolic postures seemed to demonstrate their firm belief in the human body and our strength. I wanted to seize that moment like a page of a historical book. As much as the world is heading for the future so radically now, and as much as we're living the most challenging era than ever, I thought that these images could be contemporary poetry and occur an existential inquiry about 'ourselves''.
