I’m known primarily as a video artist though my videos are more like slowly animated still images. In 2006 I began making proposals for photo-sculptures. These are proposed large scale public art works that integrate photographic images I've taken or appropriated from scientific research. They exist only in the virtual world and are intended to suggest ideas for re-thinking public art. I personally believe sculptures based on photographic imagery will re-vitalize public art, moving it from the arcane and toward comprehension and meaningfulness. Photographic realism has an authority unappreciated by today's public taste makers.
