I have always been drawn to the human face. Through photography, I have entered people's lives and broadened my world. The photographs I've submitted here are from three projects: "Picture This," a public art project in Glendale, Arizona in which I taught young people photography and made photographs in the project area; "Aging in the Valley of the Sun," a series of photographs made of seniors living in retirement communities in metropolitan Phoenix; and "When the Water Came--Evacuees of Hurricane Katrina" published by UNO Press in 2010.
