unseen people of india.
I have always been fascinated by the road side sellers. Especially with rising living costs in India, I have always admired their will to survive at any cost irrespective of the abnormal conditions they face on a day to day basis.
Most often live on a day to day basis. They borrow money from money lenders at exorbitant rates, then buy the raw material for the day, then sell and try to make a profit at the end of the day. The day ends mostly with them paying back with interest to the money lenders and the next day starts again with the same situation. Without any support from government or financial institutions(micro credit) or social security, these are the unseen people of india. Most indian labor force falls under unorganized sector and they have no social security. from the time of independence in 1947 governments have done very little to bring them into main stream and improve their living standards.
the last 5 years have been extremely difficult for them because the current government implemented demonetization where overnight 500 rupee became nontransferable over night and there were no new currency available. Most affected were people like these who make a day to day living. if they go to the bank they would loose the entire days business, but even then when they made the trip by standing in long queues, there was no new currency available. hundreds died standing in the Q. Then came corona.
This is to show the unseen to the world
