Parkour; play to display
“It is more than training, it’s relearning what we’ve lost.” –Sébastien Fouca
Parkour or Art of movement is a training discipline using movement that developed from military course training. Practitioners aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, without assistive equipment and in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Parkour’s apparent movement from obscurity to mainstream cultural visibility, this is also a remarkable case of an independent-spirited, non-commercially motivated form of “play” moving rapidly into a “display”-based commodity form.
Today parkour is kind of popular among Persian youths especially in Tehran. They perform the daring leaps and flips on the streets or complex building of Tehran. They have a virtual network; i found them in net because they didn’t have any official center.
