Honor Killing of Women in Pakistan
Project info

According to media monitoring by HRCP, 869 women were killed in the name of honor in 2013.
In Oct 2013, a 25-year old woman was brutally killed in a small village of Sindh in Pakistan accused of adultery.
A young man from a neighboring town, who used to visit her family often, came to her house. No one else was home. When her family returned home and saw her alone in the house with him, she was immediately accused.
Her brother beat her on the head with clubs and threw her bleeding body in the street. She wasn't given a ritual bath or last rites, no shroud, no funeral prayer, no burial. Her body was thrown in an unmarked grave.
