Love to capture the spirit of someone ..somewhere ...something ..with the lens

From a young age I enjoyed taking photographs. I was always the one with the camera at parties. I majored in photography when I was studying to be a teacher at university. I developed some photos in black and white. My enthusiasm grew when I spent years living on one of the remote Crocodile Islands in Arnhem Land in the far North of the Northern Territory. I was adopted into the Gupapuyngu Tribe and became immersed in life and culture with the Yolngu people. I was fortunate enough to take many photos at ceremonies and of life in general. I loved taking portrait shots in particular. Since moving back down to the East Coast here in Byron Bay , I have developed an interest in photographing landscapes and wildlife, especially birds. I love to capture the spirit of nature with the lens.
