Murk

To Marcel, photography is a possibility to discover oneself, to gain awareness and understanding of one's surroundings. He aims to create images that have a certain "something". In the first place for himself and then to draw others into the image as it were hoping to touch others with his view and the image that is presented. He works intuitively and sees the imperfections of the camera and the film as a contributing factor towards the resulting image. He himself has this to say about his work: Always starting from the ever-present chaos that surrounds our lives, trying to give that chaos a tangible and defined shape so that the mind can better understand it and the world around it. To do this I am searching for the intangible, the uncontrolled and obscure, that suddenly arises as an indefinite feeling, and as it were to catch it in its moment and capture it.
