This series was made while traveling by train through Swiss.
“We live in space, in these spaces, towns, countryside, corridors, and parks. That seems obvious to us. Perhaps indeed it should be obvious. But it isn’t obvious, not just a matter of course. It’s real, obviously, and as a consequence most likely rational. We can touch. We can even allow ourselves to dream.’’ (George Perec)
Immediate everyday space seems to have lost some of its transparency. In this series, we can meet walls in the open spaces or openings through the photographs.
space is at hand
close
it is where my mind wakes up
and before it forgets
moves around the corner
from the square, the circle
into the narrow city streets
space immerses
as it opens to pores
it is where the day starts
like good morning
