VISUAL THRESHOLDS

This is a small selection of a larger project. It is a project on the threshold between the dream and the reality. …it is an instinctive process, I usually don’t plan anything. I often have my camera with me and when I come across a place or a person that "connects" with my memory or my subconscious I start working. Work with my dreams and nightmares and with my questions about existence. Subsequently, I rationalize these moments especially only after printing the photograph! So my visual threshold is the border or "bridge" that exists between the timelessness of the unconscious mind and "reality" ... and anyone who looks at these photos can interpret them based on their existence. All the prints are sepia toned and printed from an analog film 35mm and 6x6 and the complete series include 37 prints in total.
