I've migrated to street photography over the decades, finding unposed observations—faces, poses, and people that tell a story about their environment—more compelling than other photographic topics. Street shooting has led me to discover intriguing neighborhoods and capture more meaningful travel images. It's helped develop skills for predicting specific moments in which people, lighting and environment may be combined into a strong image.
I primarily shoot in color, then convert to B&W in Lightroom. I appreciate the challenges of focusing manually, using fast primes (28/35/50/75) on a digital rangefinder.
