Five years ago, I started a work on memory entitled "In the enchanted family, I ask...". It is an introspective attempt to rewrite, reinterpret and reclaim my personal story and these of my family.
At first, the work was essentially photographic, then, having since become a painter, the approach quite naturally migrated towards something more pictorial, on the border between photography and painting.
The images of this colored series are part of a "in progress" series, the images that I reworked here are both photos of my parents' wedding and honeymoon, as well as digital paintings that I have done over the past two years.
With this work, I have the impression of forging links with my ancestors, of getting to know them but also of building up me a stock of protective and restorative amulets.
