The Fifth Quarter

In 2003 mankind celebrated a great victory - the decoding of human genome. Now all the secrets were revealed. A chance to heal uncurable diseases or even overcome death became a reality. But while some people were thinking about salvation, other considered power. A businessman, the owner of the company "Amphibia" used the aquired data in a completely different way. He decided to enhance the human nature and finally become free of the Darvin evolution. His ambitions went far ahead of the contemporaries, he didn't think of the replacement of organs, he thought of the additional ones. Half-alive creatures were generated, that supplimented the functions of human body. The commercial slogan was "Just a little more, than human". This photo series is in mockumentary genre. All the characters are invented, all the stories are written by me. In this series, I reflect on who we are, how we relate to other species, what we will become in the future, and how those who cannot change will survive in the new world.
