Christine The Inclusion Muse

Christine is a friend ,she used to be a busy woman perched on her Louboutins all day with a crazy schedule. She always had health issues leading to major back, knees, wrist surgeries but life would go on . Slowly things started to shift in a very dark way, until she got the final diagnosis of a rare autoimmune disease affecting her blood vessels and her joints. She became medically and socially disabled, a radical new status. Farewell the busy days, farewell the Louboutins.....In order to financially survive she changed career and became a coach of the difference as she quotes . She works in an association welcoming women like her with a radical diagnosis and she leads them safely and wisely to reinvent themselves and become partner of their disease . Because she knows what those women are going through and because she can help them it helps her. 
 She has very bad days when she is stuck in bed but she is resilient strong and feisty so she grabs her fancy cane ornamented with a skull put on a corset and come visit me for a good dinner and laughing moments crashed on my sofa. We have been talking a lot about the image of disability and what we would like people to see and how to work on inclusion with strong messages . She is not a status she is a woman with lust for life as Iggy Pop would quote . This Series is exploring the different point of view we want to convey, the bad days and the good days. The fishnets stocking is a metaphor , the encagement of the physical body but also the beauty of it. The Corsets /cane are a metaphor for the resilience and the will to keep on going through their help. The aquatic photos evoke the duality of the feminine part and the society point of view on disability.
