being concerned about sustainability: using art photography to suggest different ways of seeing

As artists we can encourage different ways of seeing. I use photography to achieve this. For me, photography is powerful for two reasons: first, it captures an image that people will recognise, and, second, it allows me to disrupt the reception of this image through manipulating it. I use the different ways of seeing that emerge from my manipulations to draw attention to environmental and sustainability issues and to encourage thinking about how we as individuals can contribute to saving the planet and us.
