Since the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, I've been reflecting on dismemberment, death, rebirth, impermanence, prayer, and practicing stillness in flight.
A foot past the border of our property, there were two trees that up to four eagles would sit in.
In 2009, the owners decided to cut down the two trees. I was standing in our kitchen when I saw a guy in the tree cutting branches. I asked him what he was doing. I informed him that four eagles sit in the two trees, and I hoped he was getting paid enough to cut them down. He cut one tree down and left the other one.
In 2019, I was looking out the kitchen window and noticed that the branch from the tree left next door and a branch from the tree on our property touched, creating the View Through Nature's Heart shape. It became my muse, my teacher. The View Through Nature's Heart can visually shift - perception creates reality at any moment.
In 2020, an eagle sat in the tree next door for the first time in years.
In deep gratitude
