Cultivo o sonho de saber de gentes

"Cultivo o sonho de saber de gentes" means something like "I cutivate the dream of hearing about people". It is a series of images that mixes two kinds of work that I do, the self-portrait and the artistic makeup. In this project I research facial expressions and I use the makeup to hyper emphasize it. The expressions shows us emotions and ideas, so I photograph it in places that matches with it. The complete project includes oil paintings portraits and the use of various techniques leds to consider that it is not just different ways to create images, but it's also about languages to show ourself to the world. It's about many kinds of masks and ways to write and register our own face in the world. Therfore, the material used in each technique also talks about time and durability , so it's a reflection about passage of time an about our lifetime.
