It is the end of winter, march but still the summer gardens are asleep. Located on an island in the middle of the river Daugava that separates the city of Riga (Latvia) in two, these gardens are literally part of the urban landscape. Hundreds of plots of lands, rented year long, to which people holds tightly as they represent a real escape from the bustle of the city in the heart of it during summer where one can grow vegetables or just enjoy the good weather. In winter the summer gardens are sleeping like does the nature.
