One of the aspect in historie of photography, is the assumption of photographies ability to give a truthful and presis picture of the reality. But what is reality? Today, in the post modern world, we know that the answer to this question is not as easy to answer as we once thought and
although I by no means have an ambition to answer this question, I have nevertheless enjoyed my project to challenge photography's ability to depict reality as it immediately appears.
Through my in camera double exposures, I try to depict how reality might appear in another kinde of poetic dimension, not poetic in a traditionally soft way, but in a more chaotic appearance, because I think it is part of realities true nature. This also challenging to my aesthetics in photography, where I earlier were guided by more or less commonly accepted rules, I may now look for other more independent and open ended rules, without abandone the fundamental characteristics of the photograph.
