Sarfo Emmanuel Annor believes that we are more emotionally connected to colors that we tend to think. Our brain associates emotions to specific colors. So by using warm colors, he hopes he can affect someone’s mood positively. While his portraits and the contrast between the backgrounds and the black skin transmit positive emotions, it also reveals socio-economic issues in Ghana.
