Dreamscapes

My photographic artwork is about the subconscious, the dreamscape . The unseen beyond the seen. It is about fantasy and magic , about fear and trust . These images are part of a series of work taken with my Hassleblad 500c, medium format camera . These image and all of the images in this series are printed/ scanned, direct from the negative and unaltered. It was important for me to capture the magic and serendipity of life . Each image is a dance between my intention and the gift of the unexpected . In this image I love the small line of cloud, which hovers over her floating body. Like a guardian angel. The gift and the magic of photography is in the unexpected , the unplanned . When we surrender control of the process and trust life to surprise us , then life is continually an adventure . This is how I make art and how I live my life . Surrendering to a force beyond , trusting the power of life to support me, as water supports a relaxed body .
