These images are selected from a larger project, Subject/Spaces, which explores how building design and materials shape our perceptions and experiences. Focusing on architectural details and represented in black and white, the images draw our attention to form, space, material, and light. Made from 2017 through 2020, the project is an exploration of modern design and material changes in global architecture facilitated by new technologies.
Organized around four themes: Divide, Intersect, Transcend, and Unfold; the images highlight universal themes explored by designers in different eras working with unique tools and sites.
The works are issued as silver-gelatin prints produced from digital files in three editions: 10 + 2 AP at 20” x 25”, 5 + 1 AP at 32” x 40”, and 3 + 1 AP at 44” x 55”.
