I grew up on the banks of the Delaware River in upstate New York and spent hours fascinated by the way light plays on moving water. That fascination has only deepened with time. The ripples and waves reflect the light in ever-changing patterns. I wanted to capture that sense of movement and meditation in my photography. So began my ongoing series "Light/Water."
As I continue to work on this series, I am reminded of how ephemeral these moments are. The reflection of light constantly changes, and so does the water. The medium of photography is fixed, but as in so many things, the subject matter is not.
Maine Magazine published Seaward in “New Morning, New Day,” a 2021 juried exhibition of Maine artists.
Several of these images were featured in a sold out showing at 2 Alices Coffee Shop in Cornwall on Hudson, New York from September 2020 to April 2021.
