The beauty and hardness of living with chronic illness.

This project is a series of photographs showing the life of a couple living with chronic disease through my lense. They used to live a very active, successful and independent life. Since he got ill they became more and more bound to their small place on an island in the Northern Sea, where they spent most of their time. These days they live a quiet and rather secluded life that is all about the ups and downs of a slowly deteriorating illness.
