Werner Herzog, when asked in an interview what soundtrack would he use if he was to shoot skateboarding, said: “What comes to mind first and foremost would be Russian Orthodox Church choirs. Something that creates this kind of strange feeling of space and sexuality. So what you are doing is special and bordering the sacred.” Someone once said that skating looks like dancing – to me it's more like flying. Skaters fascinate me. I've heard about a guy who was practicing one trick for two years before he managed to land it. Skating is mostly failing, and once you succeed, you get out there to start failing again. But It's also about feeling free, no matter who you are.
