On the eve of Nyepi (the day of silence), demon statues, called Ogoh-ogoh are parades on the streets of the island of Bali, Indonesia, where they are rotated three times in every intersection and crossroads of the villages with the intention of bewildering the evil spirits so they leave and cease harming human beings.
It’s also an occasion for joy and fun for the locals as they watch young Balinese showing off their skills of hanging on the Ogoh-ogoh.
