"The Adventures of Tamarind And Bandit" is an ongoing analog double exposure series of my cats and the cityscape of the places I have called home. This project was born purely out of the love for my cats after I spent the previous few years feeling unmotivated, and it has given me a whole new life and meaning to my photography. Majority of those images were shot across two continents; Many of the city layers were shot in my hometown of Osaka while the cat layers of Tamarind and Bandit were all shot back home in Los Angeles. My ultimate goal of this project is to push my limit and create surreal images that are as realistic as possible using the old technique of in-camera double exposures and create cinematic and ambiguous images that tell stories to the audiences while hopefully making them happy.
