This is a selection of photos taken from the moving car. I like to take photographs that are impromptu testing my skills as photographer and respond to the light and conditions I find myself in. I must make quick decisions about composition and the settings for my camera. I also like to leave the photos as they were taken with minimal re-touching or editing, if at all.
These photos were not planned. We left our house to go to dinner with friends. It is a 15km drive through the countryside. We do this rarely at night as it is dangerous due to the large number of animals that can appear in front of your car and you may hit and kill or injure them.
As we left the forest of our home behind for open land I could see the setting sun this particular night was leaving a spectacular pink residue in the sky casting great silhouettes of trees and hills.
I took out my camera and began to photograph.
