For quite a while I'd quite fancied doing a shoot with a kind of road trip vibe – ideally a vintage car of some sort. When the opportunity to collaborate with vintage clothing store, Circle Vintage, came up, I then remembered a former client had mentioned he an old Citroen DS. To be honest, I was half expecting it to be in a barn, with no wheels, and probably full of hay and chicken guano. However, to my surprise and delight, not only were there no signs of chickens, it was fully roadworthy and he used it regularly. With Eva and Emily suitably clothed by Circle Vintage, I set about trying to create a set of photos that embodied moods of playfulness and melancholy
