This is a project with the intention to approach the ocean's surface as a landscape. The interaction of light over the water's surface allows for multiple interpretations of what is seen and photographed.
This series was produced while navigating in the open ocean on different occasions, usually en route to other projects destinations. All photographs were made along the coast of Brazil, which stretches for over 8000km.
Although, images are colored, the intention behind the final visual result is to understand light and shadow, which are the main natural elements of this series.
In my personal understanding, this is a tribute to the marine environment, that to many of us seem so distant and inaccessible.
