As Taiwan ascended to prominence as a global tech leader, it forged a formidable presence amidst the ongoing microchip conflict between China and the United States. The flourishing tech sector brought about improved pay and working conditions for its white-collar professionals. Nevertheless, behind the shimmering facade of its economic ascent lay a significant shortage of blue-collar workers, a segment often underappreciated. This often-neglected workforce forms the very bedrock of our society, silently responsible for turning architectural dreams into tangible realities. Unfortunately, the Taiwanese government hasn't prioritized their working conditions, health benefits, or retirement pensions. These dedicated individuals, often cloaked in dirt and sweat, find themselves at a distance from society's spotlight. Yet, it is imperative that we afford them the same respect and dignity as any other profession. This series seeks to shine a spotlight on these skilled, compassionate, and diligent group of people who truly deserve recognition.
