I am 61 years old. I have been always in pain due to a back injury that I injured when I was 16, and I’ve lived with physical therapy and a gel patch for electrical treatment equipment. As I got older, other parts of my body started to suffer from minor pains (such as Rotator Cuff Tear, varicose vein, articular inflammation, plantar fasciitis, hallux valgus, and Carpal tunnel syndrome), like my lower back. Having lived with pain for a long time, the small pains that come along with aging, which others may feel painful, have not hindered me from enjoying my old life thanks to the stretching and band exercises that I have been steadily doing. I look like a healthy person to others, but in order to look like that, I have to wear a waist support for lower back that others can't see, and I have to stretch and exercise every day to get rid of pain in my hands, arms, legs, and back. Thinking my body and pains, just as each fragment of a beautiful human body statue in the Middle Ages retains its beauty even if it is broken into pieces, each part of my sick body suffers from pain as I get older, but it is an indispensable and important part of my body.
