"Impression Studies" is a series of image practice that attempts to capture the essence of everyday landscapes through light, shadow, and color and the 'impressions' they evoke as they interact with our memories, emotions, and physical sensations.
On an early spring afternoon, the rays of the setting sun passed through the foliage, I raised my camera, the image on the screen went out of focus, turning into blurry blocks of color like an abstract painting. In that fleeting moment, I realized what I was truly seeking: Light, which manifests through the colors and the intensity of shadows, forming volumetric color masses with overlaps and gradients between them, thus creating a composition that evokes an 'impression'.
By intentionally defocusing the photo to obscure details and textures, and blurring the boundaries between things, I depict the captivating interplay of light and color within the everyday urban landscapes. This is my "Impression Studies".
