"The coronavirus forced us to stay indoors. As a photographer, I sought a way to capture this time. I started a diary in the form of still lifes, aiming to symbolically represent the seasons and events within them. Each still life includes a reference to the world (globe/map). The birdcage symbolizes the home, the refuge in which we were either confined or not. These are details that tell a story, much like in seventeenth-century still lifes, where deeper meanings are also felt. The small rubber duck highlights the most significant news item of that period."
