Places of Insignificance

My work explores the places that are temporarily forgotten, rarely visited, or acknowledged as important. The images trace the remnants of human agency, without their actual presence. The socio-politics associated with regeneration and a sense of place are questioned in relation to the homogenisation of contemporary urban spaces. In some respects, the photographs present post-Sublime alternatives, whilst resonating with the historical aesthetics concerned with landscape representation.
