Road Trip

This series explores themes of environmentalism, encompassing a physical, emotional, and mental journey documented through my photographs across the American West, extending to landmarks such as the Lake Powell reservoir. Geographic features within my photos serve as metaphors for both personal and universal experiences. By confronting the harsh realities of climate change, my work suggests the inherent potential for healing in the natural world and serves as a reminder of actionable steps we can collectively take to address climate challenges. The exhibition features images captured on the road, showcasing resilient landscapes, monumental mountains, and snow-dusted vegetation, including depictions of Lake Powell— a reservoir significantly affected by climate change and human water management. Though these landscapes may appear idyllic from a distance, reminiscent of 18th-century English landscape paintings, closer examination reveals a nuanced reality. Detailed scrutiny exposes the extent of our human impact and serves as a reminder of the profound influence we wield on the environment.
