I love taking pictures through windows, on mirrors or other reflecting surfaces, by rainy weather or through mist. I prefer the blurred and oniric to the sharp and realistic. I like transforming the reality into poetry. I could say that this is the way I see the world.
This picture was taken in Brussels, a multicultural city. This muslim girl was waiting at the bus station in the center of Brussels. It is a special moment of patience, stillness and isolation in the middle of the world around her. Time becomes temporarily suspended.
This picture was taken with an Iphone, which I consider a very friendly way to work. It is light and discreet.
