Belgium has an internal frontier between the northern and southern parts of the country.
It is understood as a linguistic separation, but it is also and primarily a cultural frontier.
Flanders in the north is flemish speaking, Wallonia in the south is french speaking.
This symbolic frontier of about 275 km (170 mi) has been created 50 years ago for strong political reasons.
I started to photograph houses along this frontier and the images reflect the differences of mind between the north and south.
I upload here a series of 10 photos out of the thousands taken.
