This is the autopsy of a solitude and a search to find my place in the world. Wandering to random, often previously unknown places, I focus on elements that evoke my state of mind, they might even be foretelling signs of the future in a larger interpretation.
Each image tells a short poem. Closed upon themselves, tied together in a hypnotic chain, these are the thought loops of a woman in the middle of life. “How did this happen?” “Is this my destiny?” “Was there ever even a choice?”
A self-portrait as the starting point for this view on the ordinary, objects and places become virtual containers for my questions, ideas, and memories. By the act of photography, I protect my thoughts and ultimately myself from disappearing.
